| 1870 Katana sword made at Bizen osafune by Yokoyama a well known sword maker there in this time period. I did get it authenticated verbally by Mike Yamasaki ,well known and respected in the world of Japanese swords.lt is unfortunate that somewhere along it's past 154 years someone cleaned most of the patina off of the tang. You can see it has a family crest on the handle from from what I could find crossed falcon feathers, the family crest of Takanoha. The blade needs to be polished and could use sharpening.
