French Officer’s small sword profusely carved. Most likely mid 1800s, could be earlier - I’m not really sure. Straight blade of lozenge section. Brass hilt, the front shell-guard is decorated with crownless rooster, quillon is decorated with lion's head, the loop-guard decorated with floral motifs and pommel with bees and flower. Horn grip with twisted metal wire. Solid with no play present. Collapsible thumb guard still works. Front shell guard is damaged and area of repair is evident.
