Sword and Bayonet on Leather Hangar with scabbards. The leathers appear to be contemporary replacements. Sword measures 30.5" with a blade length of 24.5". Fullered blade with crown cartouche on ricasso area of blade. Blade edge shows some nicks/dings along with age patina, with some fine pin-prick scattered pitting. Brass handle and guard shows age patina, with wear, top of guard marked, "5/30 M. CUMBERLAND". The British Brown Bess Socket bayonet measures 20.5" with a blade length of 16.5", side of socket, right side shows two holes. S shaped mortise with ricasso having two markings that look... |
